He?s no stranger to playing the bad guy, and Robert De Niro has signed on to play ponzi-schemer Bernie Madoff in a forthcoming HBO movie.
Tribeca Productions and John Burnham Schwartz will adapt ?Truth and Consequences: Inside the LIfe of the Madoff Family? and team with the HBO network to make a television movie.
Mr. Madoff is notorious for being unscrupulous as a financial advisor who spent years swindling his thousands of investors out of their money with ponzi schemes.
As a result, he?s serving a 150-year jail sentence, his clients are bankrupt, and his son committed suicide. Sounds like there will be plenty of source material for the movie!
