Miley Cyrus Perks Up with Pilates

Maintaining her slender bod, Miley Cyrus was spotted leaving a Pilates class in West Hollywood on Wednesday (February 29).

The "Can't Be Tamed" singer wore a red lace bra under a grey tank with black yoga pants for her midweek workout session.

Recently, the 19-year-old demanded that Twitter be made to enforce special security measures after getting a string of threatening messages on the social networking site.

A troubled Miss Cyrus tweeted, "I wont tolerate someone telling me 2 die. I think Twitter needs to take some responsibility and make it a safe environment!"

While they eagerly await the release of his upcoming album, Believe, Beliebers will have to make do with <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml"_blank">Justin Bieber's</a> upcoming photo book. <div class="player-placeholder right" id="id:1672718" width="240" height="211"></div> According to the <a href="http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/earshot/justin-bieber-just-getting-started-book-deal-harpercollins-293499" target="_blank">Hollywood Reporter,</a> "Justin Bieber: Just Getting Started" is scheduled for release in September. The singer's second official photo book comes on the heels of "First Step 2 Forever: My Story," which was released in October 2010 and sold more than one million copies in 25 languages. The new book will include information about the 17-year-old singer's most recent tour and the making of his record-breaking concert documentary, "Never Say Never," as well as the sessions for Believe. Among the bold-faced names that have popped in so far to lay down tracks for that album are <a href="/news/articles/1647665/justin-bieber-drake-have-canadian-reunion-at-vmas.jhtml">fellow Canadian Drake,</a>  who has long wanted to work with the pop star. <a href="/news/articles/1673221/justin-bieber-kanye-west-drake-next-album.jhtml">Kanye West</a>  is also reportedly slated to contribute to the disc, which is scheduled for release later this year. Super-producers Pharrell, <a href="/news/articles/1677263/justin-bieber-will-i-am-believe.jhtml">will.i.am</a>  and rapper Lil Wayne are among the other names that have been tossed about as possible collaborators. Believe is the follow-up to the Christmas-themed Under the Mistletoe, which was released in late 2011. Given his advancing age and the influence of a new group of collaborators, the effort is promising to be a step in a new direction for the multiplatinum teen idol. "The only conversation we've had about Justin's album that we're about to do is it's really important that it's the proper transition, because we've seen him [with] 'Baby,' now we're watching him grow up," Bieber's longtime vocal producer, <a href="/news/articles/1675015/justin-bieber-new-album.jhtml">Kuk Harrell,</a>  told MTV News in November. "And we can't just throw him into the adult game right away. It has to be the proper transition. There's a record in between." In the meantime, fans will have to settle for watching Bieber help re-launch MTV's iconic <a href="/news/articles/1678777/punkd-premiere-justin-bieber-miley-cyrus.jhtml">"Punk'd"</a>  hidden-camera show, which relaunches next month with a rotating slate of guest hosts.

Nick Jonas Had 'Fun' Playing A Bad-Boy Teen Star On 'Smash'

'It's kind of an odd pair, she and I together,' Nick tells MTV News of going head-to-head with Anjelica Huston on tonight's episode.

For the past few weeks, theater lovers have been lining up to see Nick Jonas on Broadway in "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying." But on Monday night (February 27), fans can catch him on a different kind of Broadway show when he makes a much-anticipated cameo on NBC's "Smash."

Nick plays a Lyle West, cocky teen star who negotiates over money with a producer played by Anjelica Huston. And while Nick is well-mannered in real life, his brash, small-screen persona might surprise fans.

"He's a fun character," the Jonas Brother told MTV News last week. "Lyle is very precocious and definitely a bit different than I am in reality. But there are a lot of similarities too: Lyle started off in musical theater [and so did I]. That's how he knows all the people involved in 'Marilyn' [the musical at the center of the show]. ... He's a fun character; I hope he can come back again."

When Lyle isn't busy trying to romance the ladies, he's helping to create original music for the musical and putting his spin on Michael Buble songs. But besides performing those musical numbers, Jonas said he reveled in going head-to-head with screen legend Huston as her character tries to shake him down for money to help fund the show.

"Working with her was an unbelievable experience and she's a legend, obviously," Nick said, "And was so great to talk to off-camera as well. Being in the room with her, first of all, was an honor and to be able to work opposite her in a scene was really interesting. It's kind of an odd pair, she and I together kind of negotiating like that, but it's sort of fun and sweet and works and that what was nice about finding that chemistry with her. I love her. I think she's a ray of light."

Jonas first announced the cameo late last year and fans have been eagerly awaiting the episode, which airs tonight on NBC at 10 p.m. ET, ever since. When MTV News asked him what we could expect, he teased, "You [get] to see everything — almost everything. There's quite a bit.

"If we're gonna open that up, then there's quite a bit that you didn't see," he joked. "But that's why I have to come back."

Joan Rivers on Angelina Jolie: Idiotic, Auschwitz-Like!

Joan Rivers is not known for mincing words, but she took it to a new level after the 2012 Oscars, describing Angelina Jolie in some very controversial terms.

Angelina’s bizarre on-stage leg thrust pose pretty much stole the show Sunday, but not necessarily in a good way, drawing criticism and hilarious parodies galore.

Most were in good fun, but Fashion Police star Rivers tore her a new one.

“Angelina Jolie looked like a fool the way she posed,” Rivers said.

“She took herself right out of that superstar category because you now realize she stands in front of a mirror to figure out [what she looks like.]”

Daughter Melissa Rivers agreed: “She was demystified! She demystified herself and it’s unfortunate because it always looks so effortless. You're thinking, how can this one individual be so glamorous? It’s because she practices!”

Joan continued her rant against Angelina and her leg ...

“Have you ever seen anybody stand with their hand on a hip with a leg thrown out to open an envelope? No. and you want to say, you idiot!"

"You brought us back to the fact and we’ve all forgotten that you used to wear blood around your neck and French kiss your brother!”

She's not a fan, suffice it to say ... but then things got weird.

When asked whether Angelina Jolie is too skinny, Rivers commented on the actress' thin arms, saying that she “looks like Auschwitz adjacent.”

Few people will forget where they were when they heard that the King of Pop, <a href="/news/articles/1614744/michael-jackson-dies-at-50.jhtml">Michael Jackson, had died</a> in June 2009. And now, the same can be said for 1980s and '90s <a href="/news/articles/1679029/whitney-houston-dead.jhtml">Queen of Pop Whitney Houston</a>. <div class="player-placeholder right" id="vid:733106.id:1679030" width="240" height="211"></div> The beloved, long-suffering singer died Saturday inside a Beverly Hills hotel room, hours before she was expected to attend a <a href="/news/articles/1679046/whitney-houston-dies-grammys-clive-davis.jhtml">pre-Grammy Awards party thrown by her longtime mentor Clive Davis</a>. And while the official cause of death is yet unknown — what's been speculated so far is that <a href="/news/articles/1679049/whitney-houston-dies-details.jhtml">Houston may have drowned</a> in the bathtub after taking prescription drugs, including Xanax — given her very public struggle with substance abuse, depression and anxiety over the past decade, it's hard not to conclude that some drug- or alcohol-related accident may have been to blame. It's much like, most recently, British singer Amy Winehouse and the late, great Michael Jackson before her, who died after taking a fatal cocktail of propofol and two other drugs. Also like Jackson, Houston's sudden death — at the age of 48 — has stopped the world in its tracks, an enormous, one-of-a-kind musical flame forever extinguished. Even Jackson's brother, Jermaine — who was first introduced to Houston years ago by Clive Davis at the same Beverly Hills Hilton where the singer passed away — could not help but draw the comparison. In an interview with CNN overnight, he paid tribute to the two fallen musical giants. "They shared a lot of success in the late '80s and they were great friends," he said. "I'm happy and honored to have been a part of their lives." And oh, what lives they led: Like Jackson — who died at just 50 years old, after years of struggling with personal demons — Houston, too, had an intensely profound and everlasting impact on the world of entertainment. Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Hudson and countless other chart-topping entertainers have all name-checked her as their musical mentor, icon and inspiration: To date, she is one of the best-selling artists of all time, with more than 170 million albums, songs and videos sold. In her lifetime, Houston achieved what precious few of them have or ever will — stacking an astonishing 415 awards, including six Grammys, two Emmys, 22 American Music Awards, 30 Billboard Awards. Her voice, in its prime, was a national treasure. "X Factor" mastermind Simon Cowell may have summed it up the best: On "Piers Morgan Tonight," he said, "She was one of the greatest voices in our lifetime. Whitney was the number one singer that other singers want to emulate. People like that can't be manufactured. They've either got, it or they don't." He added, "You will always remember where you were and what you were doing when you heard the news." At four years old, Nicole Richie's daughter Harlow Winter has no idea that she has her own line of clothing and accessories. And Ms. Richie wants it that way, at least for awhile.

The “Simple Life” starlet told the April 2012 issue of Flare that she’s taking it slow when it comes to introducing her little girl into the fashion industry. “She has no idea that she has two lines named after her — I try and let her be a kid.”

Nicole continued, “I was just talking to a friend of mine who has two little girls about a certain singer whose name I won’t mention.”

“He was really upset, saying she wasn’t a good role model for his kids. But here’s the thing: that girl is 20-something, so she shouldn’t be a role model to your little girls. She’s human, and it’s unrealistic to put people on a pedestal and expect that they’re not going to make mistakes.”

Bar Refaeli: 2012 Oscar Party-Hopping Beauty

Living it up at one of the biggest events of the year, Bar Refaeli took part in the offerings of the annual Oscars on Sunday (February 26).

The Israeli model dazzled in a floor-length gown as she posed for pictures during Vanity Fair’s Oscar party held at the Sunset Tower in West Hollywood.

Earlier in the evening, Ms Refaeli and the newly-single Heidi Klum playfully looked back at one of the photographers and patted each other’s backsides while making half seductive half silly faces at the camera.

And now we've seen her. On Friday (February 10), <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/jay_z/artist.jhtml">Jay-Z</a> posted the first photos of his and <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/knowles_beyonce/artist.jhtml">Beyoncé</a>'s daughter, <a href="/news/articles/1676906/beyonce-jay-z-baby-born-ivy-blue.jhtml">Blue Ivy Carter</a>, on his <a href="http://lifeandtimes.com/glory" target="_blank">Life + Times</a> website. <div class="player-placeholder right" id="id:1676907" width="240" height="211"></div> The rapper and his superstar wife are seen in the photos holding the newborn in a series of five photos. In the first large photo, we see the baby swathed in a polka-dot wrap sleeping. In the remaining images, she has her eyes wide open and is being held by her beaming mother, and in another, her back is to us while she's being held by her smiling father. <a href="http://www.mtv.com/photos/thumbnails.jhtml?fid=1679016&view=thumb">Photos: Blue Ivy Carter revealed.</a> There's a note that reads: "We welcome you to share in our joy. Thank you for respecting our privacy during this beautiful time in our lives. The Carter family." The baby-picture reveal is just the latest Blue Ivy news. On Thursday, it was confirmed that the high-profile couple filed an application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to <a href="/news/articles/1678877/beyonce-jay-z-blue-ivy-trademark.jhtml">trademark Blue Ivy's name</a>. The patent is intended to prevent the use of their daughter's name by non-related parties. The application was filed by Beyoncé's company, BGK Trademark Holdings, and is currently pending. The Washington Post reported that it will likely get approved, considering that parents are legally authorized to trademark the names of minor children. Earlier this week, Beyoncé revealed her post-pregnancy body, and she's back in fighting shape only a month after the birth of her baby girl. <a href="/news/articles/1678670/beyonce-post-baby-appearance-jay-z.jhtml">B was photographed twice</a> this week, including at the first night of <a href="/news/articles/1678669/jay-z-carnegie-hall.jhtml">Jay-Z's two-night charity stint at Carnegie Hall</a>. Jennifer Lopez is experienced when it comes to looking sexy at an awards show. Who could forget that low-cut, emerald-green Versace dress she wore to the Grammy Awards in 2000?

The actress/ singer/ "American Idol" judge recalled that infamous look on Sunday night when Lopez hit the stage as a presenter at the Oscars and left some fans and viewers wondering whether an unintended part of Lopez's anatomy had slipped out from her dress.

Well, her stylist, Mariel Haenn, tells MTV News in a statement that what you actually saw was a lot of nothing. "The Oscar dress was custom-made for Jennifer by designer Zuhair Murad. The dress fit perfectly to her every inch," Haenn explained. "There were cups built in and there's no chance that there were any how do you say? 'Slips.' While the dress did give the illusion of sheerness, jokes on everyone who wishes they saw something!"

The sparkling gown dazzled on the stage when Lopez stood alongside her "What to Expect When You're Expecting" co-star, the Gucci-clad Cameron Diaz; the two were presenting the Oscar for Best Costume Design and Best Makeup. Regardless of whether anything did end up slipping out, Haeenn promises that if you liked Sunday's costume design for Ms. Lopez, then stay tuned: She's got more sexiness up her sleeve. Haenn said, "If you thought that dress was hot wait until you see what's next."

The possible nip-slip moment was so hotly debated on Twitter by celebrities and fans that Lopez's body part even got its own Twitter account. And as you might imagine, the handle is not subtle, simply going by JLos Nipple. The Twitter account seems to have a sense of humor, with jokes like, "I have no regrets. ... I have been confined for years and have never been given a chance to be heard. #nipslips." Another tweet reads, "For people that don't have HD ... I understand why you aren't following me. For everyone else ... you're welcome."
